Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors must ensure that their manuscript complies with these guidelines and the journal's editorial requirements before proceeding with submission. Manuscripts that do not conform to these requirements may be returned to the authors for correction prior to the start of the editorial process.

By submitting a manuscript, the authors confirm that they have reviewed and comply with the following requirements:

The manuscript is original and unpublished, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal or publisher.

The submitted file is in Microsoft Word or OpenOffice format. PDF files are not accepted for peer review.

The manuscript includes the title, abstract, and keywords in both Spanish and English.

The order of authors has been verified.

Each author's contributions have been identified in accordance with the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy).

The information for each author includes full name, institutional affiliation, country, and email address.

All authors are required to provide their ORCID iD. For more information, please visit orcid.org.

✔ The manuscript has been anonymized to ensure a double-blind peer review process. This includes the removal of all identifying information from the manuscript, file metadata (including Microsoft Word document properties), and any references that could reveal the identity of the authors. In addition, the manuscript title must not replicate the title of any previously published work by the authors.

The manuscript complies with the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The manuscript follows the APA Style guidelines for citations and references. All references cited in the text are included in the reference list, and all references listed have been cited in the text.

✔ Whenever possible, authors cite retrievable sources. References include active DOI links and URLs when available.

Any conflicts of interest and sources of funding have been fully disclosed in the manuscript.

✔ If generative artificial intelligence tools have been used during the preparation of the manuscript, their use has been disclosed in accordance with the journal's editorial policies.

✔ The authors have read and agree to comply with the editorial policies of Vivienda y Comunidades Sustentables, including those related to Open Access, Conflicts of Interest, Authorship and Contributions, Funding Disclosure, Similarity Screening, the Use of Artificial Intelligence, and Retractions and Corrections.
