The article addresses architectural design in a contemporary context marked by fundamental transformations across society, creating fertile ground for opportunities and change. The objective is to explore how architectural design adapts to this reality in its processes and methods, generating a set of reflections that consider new perspectives through theoretical and critical thinking and the appropriate adaptation of analog and digital tools. A comparative and critical methodology is established, from an exploratory and descriptive approach, to analyze the use of traditional tools alongside digital and emerging technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence. The results highlight the subjective characteristics and virtues of traditional instruments, as well as the creative opportunities offered by new tools for the design revolution. The integration of emerging technologies into the design process poses adaptation challenges and limitations for their acceptance by more traditional practices. This study finds its value in approaching and confronting the latest instrumental opportunities and tensions, contributing to the construction of revitalized perspectives. Moreover, it is part of a broader research line within the Master's Program in Processes and Graphic Expression in Architectural-Urban Design, titled Processes for Architectural Design, which aims to enrich the present and future of architectural design. In conclusion, the convergence of analog and emerging tools, through graphic hybridization and alternation, proves pertinent for innovating design practices and enhancing the vision of architectural projects.Metrics
