Abstract

In Mexico, as in many other countries around the world, the current energy situation has spread through the consciousness of some sectors and di erent measures for the e cient use and optimization of energy have been implemented. Therefore, the eld of building construction has applied di erent o cial standards to try to regu- late the use of energy in the interior design adaptation of buildings. One of the main objectives of this work, is to design architectural spaces aimed to generate optimal comfort conditions, so users perform their activities e ciently. This is the main reason why the climate conditions of buildings have to be properly designed, calculated and controlled as well as the lightning in function of the activities, proper acoustics, and su cient ventilation, all of these with the lowest consump- tion of energy. The O cial Mexican Standard, NOM-020-ENER-2011-Energy e ciency in buildings, was developed to improve the thermal design of buildings within the residential sector, restraining the gain of heat from the enclosure.
