Vivienda y Comunidades Sustentables is a scientific journal dedicated to the dissemination of original scientific and technological knowledge in the fields of housing and sustainable communities. The journal considers this relationship as a complex subject of study, recognizing that housing and sustainable communities play a significant role in shaping cities and territories. Consequently, these topics may be examined from multiple disciplinary perspectives and at different scales, ranging from their relevance to the industrial sector, to their recognition as a fundamental human right and as a key opportunity to promote sustainability in its various dimensions and at different urban and territorial scales.

The journal seeks to provide an innovative, pluralistic, experimental, and multidisciplinary forum for the dissemination of scientific knowledge. It is affiliated with the National Laboratory of Housing and Sustainable Communities (SECIHTI) as part of its editorial strategy.
